Money arrives with an understanding of time.

One expects to arrive before evening. The other has packed for the winter.
Capital can contain the same quiet misunderstanding. An amount is agreed, a document is signed and each side leaves with a different picture of how long progress should take.
The disagreement may remain invisible while things move quickly. It becomes harder to ignore when the road bends.
A business has its own rhythms. Trust, learning and reputation do not necessarily move at the speed of the money around them. Nor can the people providing that money be expected to wait without limits.
